Our DIY tip for motorcycle lighting

When buying motorcycle lighting, always make sure that it is used in a type-appropriate manner. Our recommendation is therefore to use our model filter. Simply select the motorcycle model and our shop assortment will automatically adjust.

Pay attention to the legal requirements for motorcycle lighting

There are a few points to consider when mounting main and auxiliary headlights, parking lights, turn signals and other lights on your motorcycle. Please note that only lights that are legally required or additionally permitted may be mounted. It is also important that the lights have an E-mark.

What does the E-mark on a motorcycle mean?

The E-mark, officially the ‘ECE mark’, is an official mark for components of motor vehicles that require approval. The mark tells you whether the lighting meets EU safety standards and is therefore approved for use on public roads. You can therefore install it on your motorcycle without concern. Any lighting that does not have a certification mark must undergo a separate inspection by a testing institute. Otherwise, they are not permitted on the road.
